The 2014 Congress will cover the maritime history of Russia at global level, including the Black Sea, the Turkish Straits, the Aegean and the Mediterranean Seas, the Caspian Sea,  as well as North Atlantic, Baltic Sea, the Arctic Ocean and the Far East. Historical events that took place under Ottoman and Russian dominance until the end of the World War I, will also be under focus.
