In 1993, two archaic Greek shipwrecks of the 6th century BC were found during the excavations of the ancient haven of Marseilles. Their study by the Centre Camille Jullian (Aix-Marseille University - CNRS) allowed to reconstruct the original vessels.
Wrecks, after being processed, will be presented in the new Musée d'Histoire de Marseille and a sailing replica of one of the wrecks is under construction to be ready to sail at the end of the next summer.
